Blue Dragon Choir
By: Brylee Spradlin (Reporter from Dragon Gazette)Mr. Stone has been putting his heart and soul into choir classes for 31 years. I am one of his choir students and I love it! I had the chance to talk with Mr. Stone and I used it to find out about his love for choir. I asked him why he loves to teach choir. His answer was I like to listen to people sing and I like to help them sing. I like to have people listening to everyone singing. I asked him how the third graders were adjusted to their first year in the Blue Dragon Choir. He responded with They are doing well. The third graders are learning to sing properly. Mr. Stone’s favorite part of teaching choir is when the student figures out what he is wanting them to sing. Mr. Stone hopes to have even more students wanting to join choir in the future. Blue Dragon Choir is lucky to have Mr. Stone leading them. Thank you Mr. Stone for all you do for our choir!
Singing for the Champions

This is an opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to show their music diversity and their talent. They get requested to join the All-Star Choir and get to go sing with other students around Kentucky. To be part of this choir, you have to be willing to work hard and be determined. They practice 2 times a day and on Wednesday they practice 3 times. Mr. Stone does wonders with these students and gets them ready to sing in front of a huge audience.
They rode a bus to First Baptist Church in London Kentucky for their concert on October 24. They sang ‘When I Sing’, ‘’J'entends Le Moulin’, ‘A jubilant song’, ‘Seize the Day’, and ‘American Flag’. We celebrated our successful concert with pizza at the church. This was the most exciting and nervous experience that I have ever been a part of. If given the chance I would do it all over again. Thank you Mr. Alex Stone, and Mrs.Ruth Dwyer for your hard work making this a joyful event!
